Founded in 1999 by two Romanian doctors who returned from UK after a period of specialization in The St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London, CMIB has become a leading center in fields such as Fertility, Cardiology and integrative medicine. Dr. Radu Nicolae Ciudin, one of the most appreciated cardiologists of the country, laid the foundations of electrophysiology and pacing in Romania, and Dr. Denisa Marina Protopopescu, associate professor of obstetrics-gynecology, opened the way of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in Romania, performing the first ICSI procedure in the country and bringing the world the first baby conceived using this method in 1997.
Since its founding, CMIB has provided consultations and diagnostic services in cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, and fertility treatments.
Over time, the center has expanded by adding new specialties, including endocrinology, general surgery, plastic surgery, dermatology, urology, internal medicine, and psychotherapy.
Today, the CMIB has two modern clinics:

Primăverii Clinic features a complete Assisted Human Reproduction department, along with Embryology and Andrology laboratories, a Day-Surgery Operating Room, a Post-Operative Care Unit, and a Human Cell Bank certified by the Ministry of Health and the National Transplant Agency.
